Super Smash Bros. Characters React to Brazil Defeat at 2014 World Cup Against Germany

by Prima Games Staff

Yesterday’s World Cup semi-final match between Brazil and Germany was a massacre, with the Germans annihilating the host country 7-1 in one of the worst defeats in football history. Goal after goal, the crowd slipped into various states of shock, disappointment and downright sobbing. People left early and German fans needed escorts to safely leave the stadium.

Suffice to say, no one expected Brazil to play that poorly, even without injured superstar forward Neymar. Even characters from Nintendo’s upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS could not believe what happened. Fortunately, we captured these emotions and have them for you below.

Luigi probably had money on the game, and by the look of his face, he didn’t bet on Brazil.

Zero Suit Samus dressed up for the game to cheer on Brazil. What a waste. King Dedede, meanwhile, has his eyes on the Brazilian ladies.

Mature Link can’t fathom how Brazil dropped the proverbial ball.

Toon Link is a crier. No surprise there.

Little Mac lost all feeling, both physically and emotionally. Now’s the time to strike, King Hippo.

Donkey Kong is literally at a loss for words, and he barely talks.

Ike needs a hug.

Not even Rosalina’s wand can save Brazil from agony.

Well, not everyone is upset.
