Beat Saber

Virtual reality is definitely one of those things that has a very small audience, especially given the usual price of VR headsets like the HTC Vive or the Oculus Rift. However, when Sony released the PSVR, they can consumers an affordable way to buy into the market and see what it’s all about. Honestly, Beat Saber is one of the best games to hit any VR system in a long time, and if you have a PSVR and haven’t given it a try, then it’s definitely worth picking up on your PS4.

Guacamelee! 2

Building off the original, Guacamelee! 2 brings players back into the Mexiverse, where they can explore one of the most stylish worlds that gaming has seen this year. It’s a fun metroidvania romp full of challenging fights, arenas and tons of great content. As a blend between a brawler and a metroidvania platformer, Guacamelee!2 is one of those games that you have to really play to understand, and what an experience it can be. If you’re looking for something fun, stylish and just entertaining, then Guacamelee! 2 is definitely one of your best bets. While it’s available on other platformers, the PlayStation 4 controller suits itself really well for the game and is a joy to play from the comfort of your couch.

Shadow of the Colossus

While the original Shadow of the Colossus is a classic, many players might not have picked up the PlayStation 4 remake, which completely remastered the original game, bringing it into the modern generation of gaming. It’s a fantastic adventure that leaves a lot of the story up to the players own interpretation, and the various boss fights that take part throughout it are a testament to how well the game has stood the test of time. So, if you’re looking to dive into a classic this holiday season, then Shadow of the Colossus on PS4 is a great place to start and it has tons of great content to keep you busy for a while.
