What’s good, Prima readers??? Morgan is out this week, which means it’s been up to me and Jesse to run this joint. Only history will tell if we ruined the site or not, but for now it’s time to look back through the past week’s worth of video game noise. We (try to) do this every Friday at Prima Games, as a way to help y’all catch up if you need to.
After the recap, you can keep scrolling and catch us doing a little chat, just to spice things up a little. We don’t have a stream this week, but you can usually find us on Friday evenings (starting 5:30 PM ET) doing more chatting at twitch.tv/primagames.
Okay that’s enough intro work; here’s the good stuff. Check out everything we dropped on the site this week, from November 15 through November 19, 2021.

Okay, what’s your Game Awards hot take for this year’s nominees?
To preface this, I gotta say I think it’s great the folks who got nominated got nominated. Happy for them! HOWEVER, there is something fundamentally wrong with the nomination process. I don’t know exactly what, or how to fix it to be honest. But it’s painfully obvious, especially in some of the more niche categories, that the jury’s overall pool of knowledge is well below what it should be. No shade to those folks, but there has to be some way these categories don’t always end up with very obvious “I didn’t play any of these so here are some games I heard of” nominations. The hard part to get around, of course, is how impossible it is to play all the games. Maybe specific people specialize in their categories or something? It’s a tough one. But after last year’s Jump Force and this year’s Twelve Minutes (among other wacky noms), there is clearly an issue.
We’ve both been hitting Halo Infinite – what’s the best part and the worst part so far?
This is cheating a little, but Halo Infinite is another great use case for the “Xbox Play Anywhere” feature. It rules so hard that I can just boot this up wherever and not lose a step. The worst part for me is the weapon pickups. It’s a pain in the ass to hunt along walls for weapons, and then having to either wait for them to recharge or move on hoping you’ll find another one.
Which delay this year has disappointed you the most?
Honestly, Resident Evil Re:Verse. It was such a bizarre-looking thing in the first place, and having so much release date whiplash with it was annoying! Just a month or so ago I finally picked up a copy of Village, and it still had the “comes with Re:Verse!” sticker on it. Just let me sate my morbid curiosity already, damn!
Favorite piece(s) on the site, and why?
Jesse’s Dying Light 2 preview (and the stream we did) has me finally wanteing to play the first game. Also, our Xbox collab was fun. Collabs are fun in general.
Whatchu playin’ this weekend fam?
I got some loose ends to take care of before Endwalker drops, so I’ll be hitting Final Fantasy XIV pretty hard. I also want to give some of that new Pokemon a whirl. Diamond and Pearl are my favorites, so a remake is exciting for me.
Got anything else to reccommend?
Speaking of Pokemon, I read a bunch of the Pokemon Adventures manga recently. It’s really weird, but has its own vibe and realized world that takes the games as a springboard then makes up its own rules. It’s rad.
Bonus question, who is missing from Multiversus’ starting roster?
I’d love to see some Hanna-Barbera inclusions, like Yogi Bear or EL KABONG. Aqua Teen Hunger Force as a single character ala Pokemon Trainer in Smash Bros. would be sick too.

Okay, what’s your Game Awards hot take for this year’s nominees?
It’s clear the industry has played like 6 games this year. Wildermyth getting no nominations is truly a missed oppurtunity
We’ve both been hitting Halo Infinite – what’s the best part and the worst part so far?
The worst part is the progression, which they’ve addressed and is working on, but the best is that sweet sweet gunplay. Also playing big team battles are truly some of the most fun in multiplayer in recent memory.
Which delay this year has disappointed you the most?
Honestly I’m not really sure, there has been so many that it’s hard to keep track of, but one that keeps coming to mind id Dying Light 2 because I played so much of it this week for that preview.
Favorite piece(s) on the site, and why?
The interview Lucas did about Super Robot Wars was a banger and everyone should read it.
Whatchu playin’ this weekend fam?
Going to dig into Pokemon Brilliant Diamond while I’m on my trip, otherwise probably not much.
Got anything else to reccommend?
Check out Halo Infinite if you haven’t even long time fans who have been away from the series are enjoying it!
Bonus question, who is missing from Multiversus’ starting roster?
Everyone keeps saying Tony Sorpano, which is funny I guess, but give me someone from Succession.
