Nintendo World is one of the premier New York City attractions for gamers, away from the Times Square craziness. Not only does the store carry games for both 3DS and Wii U, but also t-shirts, plush toys and various oddities you won’t find anywhere else. In addition, you’ll see displays celebrating Nintendo history. For example, the outstanding Zelda exhibit happening right now.
On top of that (and on the second floor), Nintendo World has a plastic case featuring all of the amiibos except for Wave 4, which currently resides in release date limbo. Rarities like Marth, Villager and Wii Fit Trainer are there, yes, but also the complete Super Mario Bros. lineup that debuts alongside Mario Party 10 this Friday, March 20.
This also means Gold Mario makes an appearance. The figure is Walmart exclusive, but considering Nintendo World sold Rosalina, Lucario and Shulk at one point, there’s always a chance you’ll be able to buy this glorious amiibo there as well.
Finally, we have Toad, perhaps the rarest Super Mario amiibo of them all. The best of luck finding that guy.
What’s your plan to purchase Gold Mario and Toad on Friday?
