The holidays are upon us. Thankfully for PC gamers, this season’s selection of new games is certain to be a highlight of the long winter of gaming we have ahead of us, with some truly incredible games all available before the end of the year. These games offer something for just about every gamer including Fallout 4, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege and Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.
Many PC gamers are going to be purchasing and playing most if not all of the games mentioned above. And no doubt those titles that they can’t afford will likely go on those ever-hopeful holiday gift lists for friends and loved ones to potentially buy.
We’ve provided a quick recap of each excellent game below and why they’re worth playing. If you really want to squeeze maximum enjoyment and performance out of your holiday gaming, it might be a good time to upgrade your gaming rig with one of NVIDIA’s affordable and powerful GTX GPUs.
We’ve added a few tips to help you select the best new NVIDIA tech to get the performance and detailed visuals you desire. After all, you owe it to both yourself and to the legions of game developers out there that have created these blockbusters to ensure your hardware is properly up to scratch.
The gaming industry may well be heavily focused around announcing its latest titles at E3, but for gamers, it’s still all about the holidays. And this holiday season tops off what has been, quite possibly, one of the most exciting years ever for PC gamers.
These five games outlined below will push your gaming PC to perform better than ever before, not to mention delivering the best possible visuals to your display, whether you’re playing them in 1K, 2K or 4K.
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate
Ubisoft never fails to deliver with each subsequent installment in the award-winning Assassin’s Creed series, with two new playable assassins arriving this year in the form of twins Jacob and Evie Frye. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is set in London in 1868 and, if you’re lucky enough to be rocking a 4K display, then NVIDIA highly recommends investing in its top-end GTX 980 Ti SLI if you want to experience the creeping dank fog of Victorian London as if you had actually travelled back in time.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege
Another favorite amongst PC gamers, Rainbow Six Siege is the latest entry in Ubisoft’s tactical shooter franchise. Multiplayer teamplay is the real draw here and, of course, unparalleled realism including highly destructible environments. And for the best gaming experience at a standard 1K resolution you should have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3
Nothing says the holidays are here more than the arrival of a new Call of Duty game. The sequel to 2012’s Black Ops II is set in the year 2065. In Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 you can take in lots of futuristic weaponry and military-based multiplayer mayhem all winter. If your budget allows, we would suggest the NVIDIA GTX 970 for the best Black Ops 3 gaming experience at 2K resolution.
Fallout 4
If you only buy one game this holiday season on PC, Fallout 4 is a strong choice. Featuring a stunningly detailed post-apocalyptic world to explore and wreak havoc in, Fallout 4 is shaping up to be one of this year’s biggest hits on PC. It also might not be a bad idea to invest in a 4K display and NVIDIA’s flagship GTX 980 Ti SLI to get the best performance out of Bethesda’s latest masterpiece.
For a limited time, you can also score a free copy of either Assassin’s Creed Syndicate or Rainbow Six Siege on PC by purchasing a new qualifying NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti, 980 or 970 GPU with the new Bullets or Blades bundle.
