What could make Pokemon Sword and Shield even better? Digimon, apparently. The world is chaos and existence is fleeting, so I guess you could say we’re pretty on board with this Pokemon Sword and Shield Digimon mod.

The latest mod comes courtesy of ‘Hallow’ over on Game Banana. It’s pretty easy, it’s a reskin of the Charmander family, giving players Greymon, MetalGreymon, WarGreymon, and Agumon.

Some may be wondering if this impacts the game at all or character behavior. Not at all, this is purely a reskin and nothing more, so you’re not missing out on our flame-y friend just because you decide to throw all logic as we know it by combining Pokemon and Digimon.

Word of caution, though. Nintendo isn’t exactly the most mod-friendly company, but that hasn’t stopped players from modding anyway, especially in the Wii-era. You’ll need to have a modded Nintendo Switch to pull this off, but if you’re down, you can check out the mod right here.

For more about Pokemon Sword and Shield, sans Digimon mod:

“A new generation of Pokémon is coming to the Nintendo Switch™ system. Begin your adventure as a Pokémon Trainer by choosing one of three new partner Pokémon: Grookey, Scorbunny, or Sobble. Then embark on a journey in the new Galar region, where you’ll challenge the troublemakers of Team Yell, while unraveling the mystery behind the Legendary Pokémon Zacian and Zamazenta! Explore the Wild Area, a vast expanse of land where the player can freely control the camera. Team up with three other players locally or online in the new multiplayer co-op Max Raid Battles* in which players will face off against gigantic and super-strong Pokémon known as Dynamax Pokémon.”
