“Collaborating with Fundacja Wielka Orkiestra ÅšwiÄ…tecznej Pomocy, an established Polish NGO with over 20 years of medical equipment fundraising history, today we donated a sum of 4 million PLN to combat the spread of COVID-19 in Poland,” Iwinski proudly declared in his most recent post. “The company’s Board of Directors and major shareholders donated 2 million PLN, with another 2 million PLN donated by the company itself.”

He added, “We’d like to thank all the brave souls who fight for our well-being every day and hope these funds help in your effort to rid us of the virus.”

The surprise good news comes following the announcement that the studio has moved all work to be remote in an effort to keep their teammates safe. CD Projekt RED is one of many companies making this move in an effort to keep development moving smoothly without putting the actual developers in unnecessary danger.

With the continued spread of COVID-19 on a global scale, many studios, companies, and freelance work have been severely impacted by the sudden upheaval of daily life. With forced quarantines in effect and medical supplies running low, more and more names in industries all over are pooling their resources to try to help.
