This is it! Our final entry into our top 5 Assassin’s Creed locations we’d like to see next! We’ve gone to the underbelly of a sci-fi fantasy, we’ve seen feudal Japan and became a spy in World War 2 – heck, we even took this crazy ride out in space for a test drive. So what’s our final dream pick if we could craft our own ideal Assassin’s Creed game: we’re going Mayan.

5 Assassin’s Creed Locations We’d Like to See Next, Mayan

Outside of Vikings, which we are now getting, and feudal Japan, another popularly requested era is the Mayan era in Mexico. We’ve flirted with a Mayan storyline in the past, especially with Assassin’s Creed Black Flag with the Tulum Mayan Stelae location quest and the hunt for the Mayan outfit, but let’s take that inquisitive storyline and flesh it out. Think of all the incredible ruins that we could climb in-game and all of the treasures to find, buried history and ritualistic discoveries.

The fact that much of the nature of Mayan culture is still shrouded in mystery, the team over at Ubisoft could really have an unlimited playground to build with, especially so in terms with how the Mayans approached astrology and predicting what future generations would have to endure. As an ancient civilization, the Mayan culture was incredibly technologically advanced and much of how they operated daily is completely unknown. Ubisoft could mystify that mystery a bit through a more supernaturally-inspired narrative or simply build off of the history we do know and essentially draw a more Indiana Jones-type of experience.

A few years ago, many fans would say this isn’t doable because it would retract too much of the storyline thus far but Origins and Odyssey both proved that there is so much story left to tell before the story itself even begun. We’re not talking ret-con, we’re talking expanding the bigger picture to be truly limitless.

And there you have it! There are our top 5 Assassin’s Creed locations picks that we would like to see! You can recap the road thus far with our previous entries linked below:
