Half-Life Alyx is an incredible VR experience, but you know what it needs? Lightsabers. You know what it's getting? Lightsabers. That's right; Star Wars meets Half-Life Alyx with this mod and we are here for this kind of energy on our Monday mornings.

This mod was created by 'Yolokas' over on Steam Workshop and allows players to use the Force and swing some epic lightsabers around like it's nobody's business. He also included that there are three functional Star Wars-inspired sabers such as the traditional weapon, the double-sided saber, and the "very long" saber.

There is one word of caution, however. This mod is still very much a work in progress, which means the hitboxes still need a little tweaking. The modder himself mentioned that in the mod's description, saying "Please note that the detection isn't perfect yet. If you slash an enemy and he is still standing, just slash again. If nothing helps, you can use the secret wobble technique." If only the secret wobble technique could be used in real life; game-changer!

Ready to add that Star Wars flair to your Half-Life Alyx playthrough? You can check out the official Steam Workshops page here for more about the mod including how to download the add-on, frequently asked questions about its functionality, and more!

Haven't had a chance to check out Half-Life Alyx yet? Alyx is the truest continuation for the Half-Life franchise with the goal of doing what the first game did: revolutionize a niche. Where the first Half-Life changed how we perceive shooters and game design forever, Alyx is making major waves in the realm of VR. It also pits us against the deadly Combine alien race as Alyx Vance fights for her right to survival and freedom from the Combine's control.
