This is the best formation to go to if your opponent is running a 3 WR set. 3-4 isn’t very reliable to defend all of the passing options on the field while having 4 LBs. Bringing in the nickel back will strengthen your coverage, while you still have 6 players in the box to somewhat slow down the run.
