Gun Split Close Pats

GUN SPLIT CLOSE PATS

Gun Split Close Pats > HB Wheel (vs Cover 3)

Setup:

1. Streak the outside right WR.

2. Motion the HB right on a slant.

3. Fade the far right WR.

Options:

Against a blitz, hit the HB. 

Against man coverage target the corner route.

Against Cover 2 Sink, hitch the far right WR. 

Gun Split Close Pats > GX Drag Trail

Setup:

1. Curl the TE on the right.

2. Curl the outside right WR.

3. Streak the far left WR.

4. Motion the HB on the right to the right.

Options:

Against man coverage, slant the TE on the right.

Against the blitz, swing or out the HB on the left of the screen to the right. 

Gun Split Close Pats > Z Spot 

Setup:

1. Slant the outside WR on the right.

2. Swing the HB left. 

You must target this quick out route any time there is no flat zone. This is what makes the whole formation work—the fear that it could be coming at any time!
