It’s the last Spotlight Hour of the year in Pokemon GO, and what better way to end it than with a goofy-looking zebra? But can that goofy-looking zebra be Shiny? And if so, how do you get your hands on it? Here’s everything you need to know about how to get Shiny Blitzle in Pokemon GO.
How to Get Shiny Blitzle in Pokemon GO
Are zebras black with white stripes or white with black stripes? It’s one of those age-old mysteries. But here’s one thing for certain: a Shiny Blitzle is navy blue, and it can be all yours with a bit of gumption and a sprinkling of luck.
Blitzle had its shiny debut in 2021 during Pokemon GO Fashion Week. And while you might have found a Blitzle or two in the wild since then, it’s a Pokemon that’s remained elusive for many. Fortunately, on Tuesday, January 31, Blitzle will be the Pokemon of the (Spotlight) hour in Pokemon GO. That means from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time, it will appear more often in the wild.
This is your best chance to catch Shiny Blitzle. Your normal odds of finding a Shiny Pokemon in Pokemon GO are.2%, or 1 in 500. And while the Spotlight Hour will not boost Shiny Rates, the sheer amount of Blitzle that you’ll encounter during this event will give you better odds of accidentally stumbling across one.

But be sure to also use PokeStop Lures and Incense during the hour as well. With a Standard Lure, 10 more Pokemon will spawn over the course of 30 minutes, and Daily or Regular Incense can further increase those odds. But Incense and Daily Incense don’t stack, and Regular Incense requires you to keep moving. So, plan accordingly for your Shiny Blitzle hunt!
