Final Fantasy XIV has a pretty huge amount of customization when it comes to what you can wear, from mixing and matching segments of attire to choosing the perfect colors to compliment them. Being able to dye your gear from a spectrum of colors and shades is not only vital for maintaining maximum Eorzean drip, but also important when participating in the weekly Fashion Report in the Gold Saucer. Whatever the reason is that you’re needing Blood Red Dye for, we’ll go over exactly how to get it in Final Fantasy XIV.

Thankfully, Blood Red Dye is one of the easier dyes to obtain in FFXIV. Simply visit a dye vendor in one of the three major cities of Eorzea.
Dyes can be purchased from the following NPCs:
- Unsynrael – Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks (X: 6, Y: 12)
- Alaric – Old Gridania (X: 14, Y: 8)
- Nanabe – Ul’dah – Steps of Thal (X: 14, Y: 11)
By interacting with one of the NPCs, you can buy Blood Red Dye for 40 gil per dye.
Alternatively, you can always purchase Blood Red Dye from your server’s Market Board if you simply can’t be bothered to travel to an NPC. However, these prices will always be spiked up tremendously, especially when they’re in high demand for things like the Fashion Report. Because of this, it’s always recommended to just teleport to the nearest city, unless the teleportation costs exceed the Market Board costs.
FFXIV: Can you Craft Blood Red Dye?
Many dyes can be crafted by those who have a Disciple of the Hand class at level 30, however, Blood Red Dye is not one of those. Because of that, the cheapest source will be from a dye vendor in town.
