How to Watch Tammy and the T-Rex in High on Life

This T-Rex loves Tammy so much

One of the strangest (and maybe best) additions in High On Life is the fact that they’ve included over four full-length movies and more than 20 animated shorts in the game. These movies are all “Z-grade,” according to Executive Producer Matty Studivan, and it’s hard to disagree. These movies would all have their place in a bad movie marathon.

But the crème de la crème of these terrible movies is, without a doubt, Tammy and the T-Rex, a movie released in 1994 that follows a girl and her boyfriend whose brain has been transplanted into an animatronic T-Rex. Yes, it’s just as dumb as it sounds, if not dumber.

It’s truly a work of art.

If you want to watch this movie yourself, here’s what you’ll need to do.

How to Watch Tammy and the T-Rex in High on Life

Once you make it through the tutorial section in your bedroom, your planet will be attacked by the G3; a drug cartel bent on turning humans into drugs that can be packed into Hyperbongs. A Gatlian, a sentient gun, will instruct you on how to warp your house out of Earth. You’ll need to fight your way through a ship and then steal the Warp Crystal at the very top.

Take that Warp Crystal home and put it in the microwave. This will trigger a reaction that will cause your home to relocate to Blim City. Blim City will be your central hub for most of the game, so it’s a good idea to get used to it!

Your Gatlian, Kenny, will instruct you to find a bounty hunter to help you take down the G3 and save the human population. You find him almost immediately. His name is Gene, he’s homeless and legless, and his bounty-hunting days are far behind him.

Gene will broker a deal with you: he’ll give you his old bounty hunting suit if you give him your house when you die. You have no choice but to agree, and Gene will promptly move into your home. I’m pretty sure that wasn’t the deal, but he seems very comfortable on your couch.

So comfortable, in fact, he’ll start playing movies on your living room sofa. These movies change depending on how far you get in the game, and at the very start (and for the first three bounties), it will be Tammy and The T-Rex. You can choose to sit beside Gene and watch the movie if you like. And I really recommend watching it. It absolutely sets the tone for how ridiculous this game is.
