Where to Find and Use Throwable Launch Pads in Fortnite

Launch anywhere on the map.

Fortnite is always changing and Chapter 3 Season 4 is no different. This week in the season of Chrome, you can start finding the latest Throwable Launch Pads along with the Shield Bubble. We have tons of utility options at this point, but you’ll need to find them before doing anything.

The good news is that all of the new items added in this week’s update are relatively easy to find. If you’re a Zero Builds player, in particular, this is a fantastic week for you with plenty of new ways to play out a match. In our guide, we’ll go over how to find the Launch Pads and how to use them in comparison to the standard item of the same name.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 – How to Find the Throwable Launch Pad

Each of the new items added this week are usually blue in rarity or considered Rare in general. That means you can find them as ground loot like any other items within the Fortnite Battle Royale. While it’s not always the case that Rare items are so easy to find, it’s a good rule of thumb to follow when new items drop in the game.

Throwable Launch Pads can be found on the ground, in any chest around the map, in Vaults, or in the standard loot drops. All of these options have the chance to drop a single Launch Pad and two of them can be stacked at a time. Compared to the normal Launch Pad, the effect will still be the same when you jump on it. You’ll be launched in the air and given a major boost before pulling your glider.

The difference between the Throwable Launch Pad and the standard version is in the name itself. You can throw the new version nearly anywhere on the ground and it will spawn with a platform. This was made specifically for Zero Builds where you couldn’t place the item in the past. Keep in mind though that it will take up a slot in your inventory rather than the trap slots in normal matches.
