Mastering the arts of Ethereal Weaving and being fused with a spirit known as K.K, the protagonist Akito needs to figure out what has happened to Tokyo after all of its citizens have mysteriously vanished.

The presentation showed off what combat looks like in Ghostwire Tokyo, and for the most part, you’ll be mixing and matching different elements and shooting them out of your hand at ghosts and apparitions around the streets of Tokyo. PArry enemy attacks, jump over their strikes, and use Talismans to add new tools to your arsenal.

Use Spectral Vision to find activities and leads on quests as you make your way through Tokyo.

One big feature in Ghostwire is the ability to grapple onto Tengu and use them to reach tall skyscrapers and rooftops. This adds a whole new playground for players to explore and use to their advantage. You’ll also find corrupted Tori Gates around the city that need to be cleansed, some even on the rooftops of Tokyo.

Explore shrines filled with deadly enemies waiting to strike you down. Use stealth to your advantage to quickly and quietly dispatch your foes. The gameplay shows over-the-top abilities like the ability to remove multiple enemy cores at once, use items to stun enemies, and even shoot fire out of your bow and arrow. Use wired-in mode to supercharge your attacks and do powerful damage.

The game will also feature optional stories that provide players who go off the beaten path a chance to experience some unique quests that dive more into the lore of Tokyo and what is happening here.

Ghostwire Tokyo releases on March 25, 2022, but if you pre-order the Deluxe Edition of the game you can play three days early on March 22. You’ll also receive the Streetwear Outfit Pack, Shinobi Outfit, and Kunai Weapon.
