In order to access the Ladder Set Up Kit in Animal Crossing: New Horizons you’ll need to visit Nook’s Cranny while it’s open and head to the wardrobe to right once you head inside. Here is where you can purchase tools, plants, and even DIY recipes.

You’ll need to purchase the Ladder Set Up Kit DIY Recipe for 2,000 Bells. Once you learn the recipe you’ll be able to start crafting them and placing them around your island at your own leisure.

The recipe requires 1 ladder and 5 wood. It’s an easy recipe to craft, really all you’ll need is to keep crafting ladders, which require wood, hardwood, and softwood.

Once you’ve crafted the kit, simply go to a cliffside you want, open your inventory, and click place near cliffside to set up your new permanent ladder.
