Scarlet Nexus and More Japanese Games Come to Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft's utility bills must be wild.

Microsoft showed up for the Tokyo Game Show this week, with big news for fans of Japanese games. Not only has Xbox Cloud Gaming been expanded to more countries, but a set of new games were released on Game Pass as well.

The marquee title is Scarlet Nexus, Bandai Namco’s first big new generation title from earlier this year.

Scarlet Nexus and More Japanese Games Come to Xbox Game Pass

Alongside Scarlet Nexus, which we reviewed and (I) enjoyed quite a bit, Microsoft also added Playism’s Mighty Goose (another title we reviewed) and AI: The Somnium Files from Spike Chunsoft.

All three of these games are Xbox Play Anywhere titles, meaning your save data will travel with you no matter what platform you’re on.

In addition to the new Game Pass titles, Microsoft’s TGS 2021 showcase reiterated the company’s attention to the Asian gaming market, pointing out several Japanese indie titles as part of the ID@Xbox program, full Japanese localizations for games like Starfield, and more.
