Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl Direct Happening August 18

Pokemon Legends: Arceus will also be shown.

Pokemon brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are releasing later this year. We haven’t seen much about them outside of the initial trailer, but that’s about to change. The Pokemon Company announced today that it will be hosting a Direct on Wednesday, August 18, to discuss both Pokemon Diamond/Pearl and the upcoming new Pokemon game Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl Direct Happening August 18

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is a brand-new style of Pokemon. It tasks the player with building the very first Pokedex in the land of Sinnoh long before the events of Diamond/Pearl.

We’re excited to see more from both pokemon titles and are keeping our fingers cross that Pokemon Legends: Arceus runs better than it did in that initial trailer for the game. The frame rate looked rough and some of the textures weren’t great, but it’s been quite a while since we’ve seen it. Hopefully, development on the game has been progressing smoothly and we will get a deeper look into how the game operates.

As for the remakes, since those games are a relatively known quantity, we’re curious to see what’s new and if these games will receive any of the additional story details from the PLatinum version that came out afterward.

What do you hope to see from the direct? Let us know on the official Prima Games Twitter and Facebook pages.
