Where to Find Gyrados in New Pokemon Snap

Gyrados is finally here.

New Pokemon snap was released earlier this year, but a new free title update added new levels and Pokemon to the game just this week. Plenty of new Pokemon are hiding in these new levels, but one Pokemon that players have been excited to find is Gyrados. Here is where to find Gyrados in New Pokemon Snap.

Where to Find Gyrados in New Pokemon Snap

In order to find Gyrados, you’ll need to meet a few requirements first. First, you’ll need to load up the Mightywide River stage and level up the area until you unlock level 3. This is done by repeating the course and getting the best shots of Pokemon you can in order to increase your research level.

We recommend going through and chucking both the lumina orbs and fluff fruit to find different Pokemon interactions.

Once you’ve reached research level 3, go back to Mightywide river and be on the lookout for an Ursaring near a tree. You’ll know the area from earlier encounters when you scan and the tree shows claw marks.

From here turn around and throw an Illumina orb into the giant waterfall to have Gyrados pop out. While this is the first encounter with Gyrados, you’ll actually have a better opportunity to snap photos of it later in the level when it drops down right in front of your path.

Well, that’s everything you need to know about where to find Gyrados in New Pokemon Snap. For more tips, tricks, and guides be sure to check out Prima Games and our official Twitter and Facebook pages.
