Rainbow Six Extraction Delayed to January 2022

Today, Ubisoft posted on its blog announcing that it is delaying Rainbow Six Extraction (previously Rainbow Six Quarantine) until January 2022. On the Ubisoft blog, they state the game needs more time to make it the cooperative experience the time wants.

With unique features like Missing In Action or The Sprawl, every mission is set to be a tense and challenging experience in which you’ll lead the elite operators of Rainbow Six in a fight against a lethal and evolving alien threat.

We are embracing the opportunity to take additional time to bring this vision to life in the way it deserves in January 2022. We are confident this will ensure Rainbow Six Extraction is the immersive, cooperative, and thrilling experience we set out to create, and the one you aspire to play.”

After a rather extensive E3 showing of the game, the delay comes as a shock to most as the game looked like it was in a very solid state. However, Ubisoft has delayed quite a few of its games (including this one) a few times already to make sure they are up to the quality they want.

Originally the game was set to come out this September, but now will be pushed into next year. Rainbow Six Extraction is releasing on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
