Capcom Extends Final Demo for Resident Evil Village

On social media, the Twitter account for Resident Evil announced that the final demo for Resident Evil Village is being extended by a week. The news comes after backlash regarding the PS5’s 8-hour demo window, with the demo period originally scheduled to last for 24 hours.

In the event you missed out on the 60-minute final multi-platform demo, you have another chance to get stepped on by Lady Dimitrescu.

We’ve heard your feedback and are extending the availability period for the final 60-minute multi-platform #REVillage demo.

The final 60-minute multi-platform demo for Resident Evil Village has been extended from 24 hours to a week to ensure everyone who wants to experience the demo can do so. The new demo period starts May 1 at 5:00 p.m. (PT) until May 9 at 5:00 p.m. (PT).

In the demo, players will have the opportunity to explore the Village Demo and the Castle Demo for 60 minutes. When that 60 minutes is up, you’re out and you’re done and you’ll have to wait for the release of Resident Evil Village to dig into more of the game.

All in all, the final demo is pretty generous, and open in terms of what you can do. If you want to spend all 60 of those minutes hunting down – and being hunted by –  Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters you can certainly do that.

It’s entirely up to you. If you’d rather not spoil anything and want to wait for the game’s release, Resident Evil Village will be available starting May 7 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, PC, and Google Stadia.

If you’re playing the game on a next gen console like the Series X or PS5, you’ll be able to enjoy 4K HDR at 60 FPS as long as Ray Tracing is off. With Ray Tracing on that FPS number dips down to 45 FPS.
