ATLUS Introduces Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne’s Story in New HD Trailer

Remake the world... in picture-perfect High Definition

There are two kinds of people in this world: those who have played Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, and those who are waiting for this summer’s Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster. That’s probably inaccurate actually, but work with me here. ATLUS West has released a new trailer for its upcoming (slash already out in Japan) cult classic remaster, introducing newcomers to the story.

You can check out the trailer on YouTube; we’ve embedded it here but it probably won’t let you just watch it since there’s blood and potty words and stuff. Either way, here it is and trust me when I say this game’s brand of storytelling is really fascinating.

Unlike a Persona game, in which a Scooby Gang of anime teens work together to save the world, Nocturne is much more of a journey of apocalyptic solitude. You’ve been thrust into a battle for the state of the whole world, and as the “Demifiend” you’ll have to make up your mind and shape, well, everything.

Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remastered is headed to the PlayStation 4, PC and Nintendo Switch on May 25, or slightly earlier if customers snag the Digital Deluxe Edition. A physical version will hit stores as well, albeit without all the extras.
