Late last night, Bloomberg posted another report in regards to the long-rumored new Nintendo Switch model. According to the latest report, this model will be using an upgraded version of an Nvidia chip that can offer 4k using DLSS.
New Nintendo Switch Reportedly Using Nvidia Chip with DLSS Support
For those who don’t know what DLSS is, it stands for Deep Learning Super Sampling. It’s a technology that leverages the power of AI rendering to increase graphics performance using AI processors on the GPU. It can boost frame rates and sharpen images to help achieve a version of 4K resolution, even on less powerful hardware.
Most recently, DLSS was used in Cyberpunk 2077 to help less powerful PCs achieve a higher framerate and resolution. Now Bloomberg is reporting this technology could possibly be seen on a new Nintendo Switch model.
It seems that the version of this chipset Nintendo is looking to use would be custom-built for the Nintendo Switch.
It seems Nintendo is gearing up for this new Switch release, and it’s only a matter of time before we get the official announcement. For now, we will just have to wait and see what happens as more info inevitably comes out about it.
