Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster Will Wreak Havoc in May

Persona's angry older brother is back

Initially revealed during a Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase last year, ATLUS and Sega have officially revealed Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster’s release date.

This macabre cult classic, originally released for the PlayStation 2, will descend upon the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Steam on May 25, 2021. Multiple SKUs were announced as well, including a physical release for both consoles.

Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster Will Wreak Havoc in May

Per a press release, ATLUS noted that Nocturne HD Remaster will ship in North America with updates delivered post-launch in Japan. There’s also an official feature set, bullet pointed here:

  • Remastered 3D models and backgrounds 
  • Additional difficulty settings for players of all skill levels 
  • Suspend save – save your progress whenever you need!  
  • Voiced audio – choose between Japanese and English VO 
  • An alternate branch featuring Raidou Kuzunoha

For those wanting to play early, customers who drop $69.99 on the Digital Deluxe Edition will gain access a few days later, May 21. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes DLC content, outlined as the following:

If you want a physical copy to go with the PS2 version you paid way too much for in like 2008, you’ll be able to snag one for the Switch or PS4 for $49.99. This is the Standard Edition, so it’s sans-DLC.
