Animal Crossing: New Horizons Next Update Features Festivale & Teases Mario Crossover

This morning a new Animal Crossing update was announced that brings Festivale to your island on February 15! The update launches on 1/28 and runs all the way through Festivale.

Pave, the dancing bird will begin to show up on your island. Collect colorful feathers for PAve to make them dance. These feathers will also be used to craft clothing and furniture items, so be sure to collect a ton! 

That’s not all, though, at the end of the trailer, Nintendo teased a new update coming soon. The screen has a Mario mushroom and star. This has fans speculating what sort of Mario crossover will make its way into Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has had a bevy of updates throughout the year. From Easter to New Year’s Eve, this game has not stopped. It’s coming up on its one-year anniversary, so maybe the Mario crossover is tied into that somehow. Nobody knows anything for sure, but we’re all excited to see what happens with these updates.
