It Ain’t Over Yet: Nintendo Indie World Showcase to Air December 15, 2020

A final holiday shout out to the indies

Nintendo can never decide how it rolls out its streaming events, but perhaps that’s part of the fun. It keeps us on our toes, that’s for sure. This morning I recieved a press release from the House of Mario, announcing a new Indie World Showcase presentation will air tomorrow. That’s December 15, 2020 if you’re reading this afterwards for one reason or another.

The information is as scarce as usual, but Nintendo’s recent trend of noting how much to expect is consistent at least. The December 15 Indie World Showcase will be “roughly” 15 minutes long, and will contain both updates and announcements. Remember, this is Indie World, meaning you shouldn’t be expecting anything from the AAA side of games. That said, there are plenty of bombs the indie community can drop in addition to the new and interesting stuff.

If you want to tune in while it’s live, you can watch Nintendo’s last Indie World Showcase of the year on December 15 at 9:00 AM PT, which translates to 12:00 PM ET for those of you on the other side of the country. You can google the other timezones if you need them, you lazy bones!

The stream will air on Nintendo’s official landing page for the Indie World brand. Presumably you’ll also be able to check it out on other places, like Nintendo’s YouTube channel or mirrored live reaction gimmicks from your favorite videogame outlets.

Do you have high hopes or expectations for the last-minute 2020 Indie World Showcase? Is there any indie darling you’re hoping we get a release date for, or are you just excited to see what happens? Let us know over at the Prima Games Facebook and Twitter channels!
