How Many Acts Are in Ghost of Tsushima?

There are a total of three acts in Ghost of Tsushima, each of which will take place on a different region of the map. Players will begin the game in Act I which is set in Izuhara, and will then move to Act II in Toyotama, and Act III in Kamigata. As you probably expect, each region has different areas to explore, characters to interact with, and more. Additionally, once you beat different areas and the game, you can go back explore every area at will. For details on each region, be sure to check out our Ghost of Tsushima map size guide, where we break down all three areas.

It’s a bit tough to say exactly how long each act will be in the game, as it will depend on how many sidequest or collectibles players seek out between story missions. Mission wise, Act III is the shortest, as it only has six main missions in it, while Act I and II both have nine each. That being said, the more you explore, the longer it’ll take…obviously. Further, there are also a handful of trophies that can be earned during the journey, so those may sidetrack some. For example, the Cooper Clan Cosplayer trophy will require players to track down five different items from different characters and locations.

Ghost of Tsushima is set on the real-life island of Tsushima and takes place in the year 1274. Players will take the role of Jin Sakai, the last member of his clan and sole remaining samurai on the island. As the Mongol Empire tries to stretch its power to Japan, the only thing standing in its way is the small island of Tsushima. It’ll be up to Jin to save his land and his people or die trying. Further, for those that are interested, the game does feature an option for a Japanese dub with English subtitles.
