Devolver is a gem that must be protected at all costs. This company is irrelevant, off-the-wall, and perfect beyond all measure. They’re also famous for spitting on the status quo and industry expectations, which just makes us love them even more. For their upcoming Devolver Direct this Saturday, they promise to up the ante and “raise the bar for overrated marketing videos” and you know what? We can’t wait.
The upcoming showcase was revealed with a cheeky GIF about discussing unrealistic expectations in their Discord. This company has transformed the art of trolling into perfection, effectively making them untouchable because the jerks of the interwebs can’t possibly roast them harder than they roast themselves and roast others. They’re the Wendy’s of gaming, and we love it.

“The astonishing misuse of marketing budget will end with a few surprises and game demos available to play by the unwashed masses including Carrion, Disc Room, and an unannounced game,” reveals the studio about their upcoming showcase. “Maybe another game too, who can really tell where this is all leading.”
As for when to watch, the showcase kicks off this Saturday on July 11 at 12 PM PT on their Twitch. It’ll have weirdness, game reveals, and a few surprises, but honestly we’d tune in no matter what to see what sort of shenanigans this team is up to next.
