Sony took to Twitter to reveal the new console, a matching headset, and the controller. The design is much more subtle than one would expect from a zombie game, but it’s stunning nonetheless. Plus, doing the unexpected is not always a bad thing, it’s nice to see a more grown-up design for someone looking for a new special way to honor the games they are most excited for.

The reactions were varied. Some seemed to not like the simplicity while others were 100% hyped. And then there were just the straight-up hilarious reactions:

There were quite a few other hilarious posts as well, but replies were quickly being hidden. That being said, the limited-edition The Last of Us Part II PS4 Pro will be launching alongside the game’s release on June 19th, just a few short months away from the anticipated PlayStation 5 launch.

The newest console features a matte aesthetic with a delicately engraved design with Ellie’s tattoo and it comes with a similarly styled DualShock 4 controller. There is also a limited edition headset as well with a similar design, though that is purchased separately.

The console itself also includes:

  • Game code
  • Dynamic PS4 theme
  • Avatars
  • and “more”

What “more” entails we don’t quite know yet, but that’s a solid bundle for anyone that wants to hold off on the next generation for awhile. The limited-edition The Last of Us Part II PlayStation 4 Pro console is available for $399.99. you can learn more through the official PlayStation Blog here.
