DOOM Eternal is the latest entry in the iconic first-person shooter franchise and allows players to continue the fight of the DOOM Guy versus the forces of Hell. However, Eternal is currently receiving a great deal of backlash from fans due to a recent update for the game, which added the Denuvo Anti-Cheat to the PC version of Eternal. This Denuvo Anti-Cheat has Kernel access, which is the highest level of access that a piece of software can have in the operating system of a computer. This unannounced addition of a Kernel-level piece of software via an update has led many players to voice their displeasure and desire to uninstall it from their PC. We have gathered the information you need to know to uninstall the DOOM Eternal Denuvo Anti-Cheat from your PC if you wish.

DOOM Eternal Uninstall Denuvo Anti-Cheat

Individuals who would like to uninstall the Denuvo Anti-Cheat from their PC will need to head to the “Uninstall Programs” application for Windows. You then need to find this particular piece of software and click it to begin the uninstallation of it. You can then check to make sure that is has been successfully uninstalled by pressing the Windows key and r. Type services.msc and look for the Denuvo Anti-Cheat updater in this list. If it is not on the list, then it has been uninstalled from your PC. 

DOOM Eternal Uninstall Denuvo Anti Cheat

Unfortunately, the update that added this piece of software made the first-person shooter unable to run without it being installed on your PC. This means that players who uninstall it will not be able to play the game at all, including the single-player, even though it is designed to stop players from cheating in the game’s multiplayer game mode. 

Console players do not have to worry about making sure  Denuvo Anti-Cheat, as it was only applied to the PC version of DOOM Eternal.
