Devolver Digital Reveals Blightbound, A New 3-Player Co-Op Dungeon Crawler

Devolver Digital just revealed a brand new game called Blightbound, a new 3-player co-op dungeon crawler from the folks that gave us Awesomenauts

The game reveals continue as Devolver Digital reveals a new 3-player co-op dungeon crawler called Blightbound from Romino Games, the same studio that blessed us our timeline with Awesomenauts. The new dungeon crawler looks intense and perfect for fantasy lovers and it’s coming to Steam Early Access later this year!

This multiplayer dungeon crawler will have three players band together in order to face the blight and all of its abominations (is this Dragon Age?). As the blight continues to spread and affect the world around it, players must find a way to combat this ominous evil by recovering loot, slashing foes, and defeat every challenge ahead!

According to the studio, “The world lies in peril. Decades ago, a band of legendary warriors slayed the dreaded Shadow Titan after a long and ferocious struggle, but their celebration was short-lived. The Shadow Titan’s true intentions revealed themselves when from his broken husk flowed the Blight; a corrupting fog that alters any living creature exposed to its evil.”

Players can choose between three classes:

  • Warrior
  • Assassin
  • Mage

Each player will have to undergo waves of enemies and confounding puzzles in order to reach the end and defeat the blight and all of its disgusting spawns. This game is also “ever-expanding” as well with new heroes to uncover, new handcrafted dungeons to explore, and a plethora of free updates planned.

In total, there are 20 heroes players can collect, each offering their own specific skillset and contributions to the team. Players can also build their own mountaintop refuge as well so that they have a place to return to after countless battles and near-death experiences.

You can learn more about these hand-painted characters and what they have to offer with the official Blightbound website right here! In the meantime, check out what else is happening in the realm of gaming below:
