Animal Crossing: New Horizons Patch 1.1

The official patch notes simply say “fixed a serious bug affecting game balance,” which means the update is in traditional Nintendo vague style, but numerous reports have cited that the duplication bug has been addressed. We confirmed ourselves that we weren’t able to duplicate the duplication big (heh), so it’s safe to say that this particular glitch is the “serious bug” referenced.

While exploits are fun for some and a nuisance for others, we’re kinda hoping the time-traveling workaround never gets addressed because boy is that handy when needed in a pinch. Not that we’ve done it. Because that would be wrong.

For those itching to get back to their islands, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now exclusively for Nintendo Switch! If you haven’t updated your game yet, do so now otherwise the online features will be unusable until the patch is downloaded.
