Players will be able to make the island of their dreams when Animal Crossing: New Horizons drops next month and while Nintendo did put in a few safeguards against random friendos from coming in and wrecking the place, there’s a “best friend” workaround that could mean Ceasar-style betrayal. Et tu, Anim4lcrossnglovr89?

First things first: your home is safe from friendly invaders, meaning normal friends can’t trash the place. “In order to protect the environment of your island, certain tools like axes and shovels are forbidden in visits from friends,” said Nintendo in their most recent Animal Crossing Direct. That being said, they do know that friends are going to want to help other friends build and they can’t do that without tools so the Big N added a Best Friend tier.

Those labeled as a Best Friend can wave that axe ban, which means those tools are applicable anywhere – including a journey to betrayer land, so choose your best friends carefully, folks.
