Two New Silent Hill Games In the Works at Konami, According to New Leak

If this leak is true, we could be getting a lot more Pyramid Head soon!
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Ah, Konami. They gave us the iconic Silent Hill franchise only to take it away with their silence and canceled projects. It’s been since 2012 since we’ve gotten any new Silent Hill experience outside of random casino machine. Now it looks like there may be some light at the end of this very dark tunnel because a new leak suggests that Konami is working on two new Silent Hill games.

The latest leak comes via Twitter from known leaker ‘AestheticGamer.’ According to the leak, Konami began work on two new Silent Hill games in 2017 and is looking to announce them sometime this year. “In other news while I’m dropping this stuff, and I think I can talk about this, I’ll mention there is a couple new Silent Hill games in the works. Konami about two years ago reached out to various developers to pitch ideas for two Silent Hill games, one a soft-reboot of the franchise, the other an episodic TellTale/Until Dawn-style game to go alongside the reboot. I don’t know anything more than that though, but I sure do hope Konami’s given it the appropriate budget and found the right developer to make those games succeed.”

They then added, “This is just a guess, but I’d say there’s a high chance one or both of those titles may be revealed this year, but we’ll see. I don’t actually know their plans or anything about these games other than their existence though, I don’t know much about the inner workings of Konami.”

This isn’t the first rumor regarding new Silent Hill news and it won’t be the last, but following the cancellation of PT, it’s understandable why so many are itching to return to the universe that Silent Hill gave us.

While the prospect of new Silent Hill games is exciting, it’s important to take all leaks with a grain of salt until Konami itself confirms any news. If this is leak is accurate, we could be getting that confirmation sometime this year. We’ve also reached out to Konami for comment and will update this article with their response.
