Borderlands 3 Hellwalker Guide – How to Get This Shotgun

The Hellwalker might be a worthy pick up for you if you just don’t have, well, a good shotgun. It’s got very high base damage, and it’s also a Fire weapon, so if you’re lacking in either department then this is definitely what you want. The magazine of the Hellwalker is tiny, and you’ll be reloading after every shot so factor that into your playstyle considerations too.

The tagline for the Hellwalker’s special weapon effect is “So, my demons. Your time has come.” As you might have expected already, it’s going to use up two ammo per shot, and with a two-bullet magazine size, this might be a dealbreaker for some. The weapon benefits from increased crit and weapon damage, as well as improved reload speed. This Jakobs shotgun definitely packs a punch, and we would recommend it as a solid go-to for blasting your enemies’ brains out.

Now, the hard part is potentially getting your hands on the Borderlands 3 Hellwalker shotgun. Unfortunately, the reality is that there isn’t a particular boss that you can farm to your heart’s content to get this weapon, nor is there a side quest to do that will guarantee it. The Hellwalker is a random drop from any loot source, which means it has an equal chance to drop from something kicking around the overworld as it does a portable toilet, or a boss. In other words, you’re probably not going to want to comb the galaxy for it, and we would still recommend taking out a number of bosses over and over on rotation to grind for this weapon. Enough persistence will pay off over time.

Now that you know what the Borderlands 3 Hellwalker shotgun is and how to get it, it’s time to put on those grinding boots and get to work. Need a hand with anything else about being a Vault Hunter? Check out the following tips and tricks that we’ve put together:
