Season of Dawn Destiny 2 – What We Know

Curious about what the Season of Dawn Destiny 2 rotation is going to bring very soon? Check out what we know so far and how to find out more.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

With the year wrapping up, the Season of the Undying is also coming to a close in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep and we’ve known for a few weeks that we’ve got the Season of Dawn to look forward to next. Bungie has been reasonably tight-lipped about the whole endeavor, but all that is slated to change soon. Here’s what we know so far about the Season of Dawn in Destiny 2.

Season of Dawn Destiny 2 – What We Know

Season of Dawn, as we said, is going to come hot on the heels of the Season of the Undying. It’s going to cost $10, which isn’t a surprise to anyone who was following along with the Shadowkeep announcements on launch. It’s the first Destiny 2 season that’s going to retail separately from the game.

Season of Dawn is also going to be special because of what’s just been established with the Season of the Undying and how events between seasons will work. We already know that the Vex Offensive is on its way out when the Season of the Undying ends up being capped, so it’ll be interesting to see what that ends up being replaced with in the Season of Dawn. With recent significant changes being made to Solar subclasses, and the fact that the upcoming content is called the Season of Dawn, there may well be some synergy there that we’re not quite aware of yet.

Luckily, if you’ve got questions, then Bungie is going to attempt to give you some answers. There’s going to be a stream which will ostensibly be the official Season of Dawn reveal, currently scheduled for 10am PST on December 4. Guardians will be able to watch this stream on the official Bungie Twitch channel if they so desire. While the Season of the Undying didn’t make quite as much of a splash as the Season of Opulence, we’ve got our fingers crossed for the Season of Dawn being Destiny 2’s next big thing once we know more.
