If you’ve been cracking into some Destiny 2: Shadowkeep and you’re feeling like you want something to do that isn’t messing around on the Moon and looking for rabbits, then why not take a crack at The Menagerie? Not had much experience with Emperor Calus’ nonsense as someone who’s arrived fairly new to the Guardian game? No worries, our Arunak Destiny 2 guide will help you defeat this Menagerie boss.
Arunak Destiny 2 Guide: Defeating This Menagerie Boss
The Menagerie is a series of rooms that culminate in a boss fight. Each room essentially is a glorified teamwork exercise that will have you working with your mates to pull off a bunch of different things ranging from killing the right enemies to dunking different types of light in a hole. Once you’ve done these tasks, you’ll be able to make it to a boss room which will house one of a number of different bosses. This time, we’ll focus on Arunak.
Arunak, Beloved by Calus, is a big boy. And we mean real big. He’s strapped with his very own shield, and to break it for the chance to do proper damage to him, you’re going to need to possess Hive orbs. Kill the Cursed Thralls that will spawn periodically to get these orbs, and then throw the Hive orbs at Arunak. This will chip away at his defenses, and you’ll be able to unload your clips at him once he’s defenseless. His shield will pop back up after some time if you haven’t killed him, so just rinse and repeat the steps above until you’ve whittled him down to nothing. Voila! This is the easiest way to do it.
If you’re after the Triumph that’s specific to the Arunak fight, it’s actually pretty simple to accomplish: leave all the Hive Knights that he eventually spawns alone. Just aim for the Thralls to get the Hive orbs and for him, and you’ll be able to knock this one out in no time. If you’re super geared, you’ll even be able to kill him before they start spawning, which is definitely possible at this time in the Power level race.
Now that you’ve got our Arunak Destiny 2 guide at hand, it should be all ogre from here with this Menagerie boss (and yes, Shrek 2 is a perfect movie). Need help with something else in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep? Check out some of the other content that we’ve put together for this game:
