Gofannon Forge Drones Destiny 2 Location Guide – Mysterious Box

If you’ve been on a hunt for the Black Armory forge drones in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, then join the club. We’ve been attempting the Mysterious Box questline again, to mixed results, but in order to get the various forge keys, you’re going to have to go robot hunting. Here’s our guide to the Gofannon Forge drones so that you can get a start on the key-collecting part of getting Izanagi’s Burden.

Gofannon Forge Drones Destiny 2 Location Guide – Mysterious Box

As you may have gathered, the portion of the Mysterious Box quest which requires you to unlock it will mandate that you pick up a key from each different forge. To pick up these keys, you’re going to have to get a Maximum Temper buff, and with regards to the Gofannon Forge, you’ll have to shoot down the relevant drones in right places 

We’ve got information about the location of the Gofannon Forge drones for you. When you’re getting inside the forget for the first time, make sure that you keep an eye out for Failsafe’s ship. It’s pretty hard to miss. There will be a bunch of Fallen who use the ship as a spawn point – keep your gaze tuned on where they’re coming from and you should see a drone hovering around. Once you knock that drone out, pan to the left and you’ll notice yet another drone circling the ship. If you’re having trouble spotting it, look for more Fallen to mark the way. Once you’ve taken down both Gofannon Forge drones, you’ll be able to pick up the Maximum Temper buff and finishing the forge will allow you to get the key that you need. 

Now that you know the location of the Gofannon Forge Drones in Destiny 2, you should be able to take down them with your favorite long-range gun. After this has been done and you’ve picked up the Gofannon Key, you can tick that one off your list and go look for the other keys required to unlock the Mysterious Box.
