If you want to get an amazing game like RUINER for free, now is your chance! Nuclear Throne ain’t nothing to scoff at either! The two titles are both free for a limited on the Epic Games Store, which is a free PC gaming library not unlike Steam though much younger which means all of the features aren’t quite there yet.
Personally, I can’t recommend RUINER enough. This is an action game that despite its top-down style, has a much more up-to-date feel to it that makes it an incredible journey to experience. According to the game’s official description, RUINER is a brutal action shooter set in the year 2091 in the cyber metropolis Rengkok. A wired psychopath lashes out against a corrupt system to uncover the truth and retrieve his kidnapped brother under the guidance of a secretive hacker friend. Combine preternatural reflexes, augmented tools, and the arsenal of fallen foes to tear down and dismantle the corporate titans of virtuality dealers at Heaven.”
With an incredibly satisfying combat system, this is a title that definitely has the Prima Games stamp of approval. That’s not to say that Nuclear Throne shouldn’t be given a chance either, because it definitely should.
Though this rogue-like is a much different experience than that of RUINER, this indie title is an incredibly addictive post-apocalyptic game with a charming sprite art style and a challenging progressing system. According to the team over at Vlambeer, “Nuclear Throne is a post-apocalyptic roguelike-like top-down shooter. Not ‘the final hope of humanity’ post-apocalyptic, but ‘humanity is extinct and mutants and monsters now roam the world’ post-apocalyptic. Fight your way through the wastelands with powerful weaponry, collecting radiation to mutate some new limbs and abilities. All these things and more you could do if only you were good at this game. Can you reach the Nuclear Throne?”
Both games are available now – for free – on the Epic Games Store client. Simply log-in and download, then voila! Both games are ready to be enjoyed. Just make sure you grab these before November 14th before the free games line-up shakes up once more!
