Outer Worlds UDL Weapons Terminal Keycard – Quest Requirements

As mentioned, you’re going to require this particular Weapons Terminal keycard as part of the Weapons from the Void side quest. It’s totally optional to complete, but we reckon that getting access to Science weapons is a pretty cool perk. If you’re not sure what’s so cool about that weapon type, here are some examples that you can unlock:

  • Shrink Ray
  • Mind Control Ray
  • Gloop Gun
  • Mandibular Rearranger

You’re going to have to have completed the following sub-objectives of Weapons from the Void before you need to pick up the UDL Weapons Terminal Keycard:

  • Read the logs on the Unreliable’s terminal about Science weapons
  • Find Phineas’ Science weapon in his lab
  • Go to the Groundbreaker and chat to Gladys
  • Find the Prismatic Hammer on the Groundbreaker
  • Pick up the Mandibular Rearranger from Scylla
  • Chat to Duncan in Fallbrook

The Outer Worlds UDL Weapons Terminal Keycard – Location and Walkthrough

After you’ve ticked off the above objectives, you’ll be tasked with finding the Gloop Gun on Monarch. This will involve you heading to the UDL Lab which should be to the north-west of Fallbrook. Actually getting in is tough, so our tip will be to circle the lab til you reach a ladder. Pop onto the ladder and then you’ll be able to hop inside the lab through an opening.

Once you’re in, it’s just a matter of dispatching enemies. The immediate area that you enter will have some Marauders to take care of. This is also where you’re going to find the UDL Weapons Terminal Keycard – make sure to pick this up.

Once you’ve got the keycard, advance into the lower levels of the lab to find the Gloop Gun’s hiding place. Use the Keycard on the security terminal protecting it, and select the following options when prompted for dialogue:

  • Protect the Chairman
  • Berate him relentlessly to defend the Chairman’s honor
  • Arrest your spouse and admit your children to a reeducation program

Once you’ve answered the above correctly, or used Hack on the terminal (you need at least Hack 45 for this to succeed), then you’ll have completed that portion of Weapons from the Void and successfully used the Outer Worlds UDL Weapons Terminal Keycard. Now that you’ve handled that, picking up the other Science weapons should be a fun endeavor.
