Destiny 2 Forge Rotation – How Do Forges Work in Shadowkeep?

As you may already have gathered from what we’ve said, here are the major changes that we reckon are notable in terms of the changes to the Destiny 2 Forge rotation:

  • Forges can now be accessed from the EDZ
  • They’ve been cut down to one Forge per day
  • You don’t have to grind out any quest chains to access them

The salient point that you should be taking away from this is that the Forges are definitely available to all players, easier to access, though you’re limited to accessing whichever is available from day to day. Currently, the ones on rotation cycle through in the following order and then keep looping around: Volundr, Gofannon, Izanami, Bergusia. This is probably the most notable change that the community has had to deal with since the release of the expansion, so it remains to be seen if this is how Bungie is going to commit to handling the Forges or similarly staged content for the game going forward.

And now you’ve got a handle on how the Destiny 2 Forge rotation works, so making quick work of this content with your mates should be easy. It’s a bit unfortunate that they’re now on a daily lock, so you’re going to have to be quick if you know which one you want to run (though why you’d be cracking into any that aren’t Bergusia at this point in time is a bit of a mystery). If you need a hand with anything else in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, then check out these other guides that we’ve worked on to make your adventures on the Moon just that little bit easier:
