Etched Crystals Destiny 2 Guide: The Last Word

If you’re looking to pick up The Last Word Exotic weapon in Destiny 2, then you’re going to have to jump through a whole ton of hoops to actually get it. We’re talking subquests upon subquests, PvE missions and PVP missions, and that is honestly just the tip of the iceberg. Etched Crystals Destiny 2 Guide: The Last Word

To get to the part of The Lost Word quest chain where you’re actually having to get these Etched Crystals, you have to first have completed the following sub-quests:

• Tainted Artifact
• The Cleansing
• A Cleansed Artifact
• The Temptation
• The Damnation

At this point, you should have had to work your way through killing a whole bunch of Hive enemies, getting Solar kills, chatting up the Drifter, and spent a healthy amount of time in The Crucible trying to kill without being killed. The subquest you’re looking for will be the Sullied Light one, and it will have the following requirements:

• Get the Blood for Blood medal
• Get the Best Served Cold medal
• Collect Etched Crystals from Lost Sector escapees
• Killing Hive with Precision damage
• Sacrificing Hive bosses

The easiest way to get your mitts on these Etched Crystals it to head into Lost Sectors to take down Hive bosses and their lackeys. We would recommend heading to the bits of the Tangled Shore and Dreaming City populated by these types of enemies. However, the most time-efficient way to get these Crystals and to also get your boss kicks would be to run Cargo Bay 3 and Core Terminus Lost Sector and (on Titan and Mars respectively). Once you’ve farmed enough of the escapees, you’ll have the crystals that you need and you can move onto the next subquest – Sorrow’s Road – once you’ve dished out enough bruising.
