Monster Hunter World players have a lot of new – and familiar – things to look forward to when Iceborne drops later this year including new monsters and the newly revealed Acidic Glavenus.
The addition of subspecies monsters offers new and very twisted variations of the monsters we’ve already come across to give Hunters their biggest challenge yet. The latest video, seen above, includes our first look at two of those variations including the fanged wyvern Ebony Odogaron and the electrifying Fulgur Anjanath.
You also can’t forget the acidic Glavenus, whose tail is far more dangerous than one might expect.
According to Capcom:
New monsters: newcomers to the world of Monster Hunter ready to challenge hunters
- The mysterious flagship elder dragon Velkhana
- Horned brute wyvern Banbaro
- Snow-buried Beotodus
Returning monsters new to World: all make their series return with the massive expansion
- Unpredictable, roaring Tigrex
- Stealthy and quick Nargacuga
- Saber-toothed Barioth
- Sword-tailed Glavenus
Subspecies: these monsters are extreme, twisted variations that amp up the difficulty and require master-level hunting skills to defeat
- Electrifying brute wyvern Fulgur Anjanath
- Dragon-elemental infused fanged wyvern Ebony Odogaron
- Sulphur-coated Acidic Glavenus
You can enjoy the gameplay excitement in the video above! As for when these new features will be available in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 6th, with a PC version coming later this Winter.
