How to Unlock the Bad JuJu Exotic Pulse Rifle In Destiny 2

For those looking to unlock this bad boy, there’s good news. Unlike previous exotics, this one is fairly straightforward in how to obtain it. Unlike the Lumina, getting the Bad JuJu is a lot easier – and faster – to get but in order to do so, there’s a few things you need to know first.

First things first: The Emperor. Head over to Watcher’s Grave on Nessus to talk to Werner 99-40 atop the golden ship. There you’ll find a Calus chest that requires 5,000 glimmer in order to access. By opening this chest, a new invitation from the Emperor will appear.

Next up is going to The Tribute Hall on Nessus. Heads up that it’s recommended that Guardians be a power level of 300 or higher before conversing with the Visage of Calus statue. Once the conversation wraps up, the next step of the quest will become available while also offering up new Tributes and bounties. Finish one of those and deliver back to the Calus statue in order to continue.

Tribute Placement

There are three tributes needed for the Leviathan as a sort of medal of honor for what Guardians have accomplished and proof of their feats. You can obtain these tributes through numerous in-game activities, or simply buy them from the Visage of Calus. If you opt into the latter, be warned that they cost a pretty penny when it comes to the various materials needed to get them – including Legendary Shards aplenty.

Players will need 18 tributes overall in order to unlock the Bad JuJu alongside the 5 Warbeast tributes. Find the display areas in the hall to place them, which then prompts Guardians to move forward into the next phase of the quest. Following tribute placement, head over to the central chest in the hall to kickstart The Other Side mission. The Other Side will then take players to the Ascendant Plane to face off against Leviathan-dwelling Taken.

For those taking on this part, we recommend making sure your gear is top-notch, because this fight gets more than a little dicey. That being said, if you have a high power level, it will be much easier.

Fight through the Taken like normal (thankfully without timers) and complete all of the prompts given. Once the fight dies down, the new exotic is officially unlocked.

Now that you know how to unlock the Bad JuJu Exotic Pulse Rifle in Destiny 2, it’s time to get started! The game is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
