Limited Edition Pokemon Nintendo Switch Lite Revealed

Zacian and Zamazenta are taking over with the new Pokemon Nintendo Switch Lite.

This morning Nintendo confirmed those longstanding rumors of a smaller version of the Nintendo Switch coming soon with the Lite. Now the team is sharing even more news, this time with a limited edition Zacian and Zamazental Pokemon Nintendo Switch Lite version for those that just really like to catch ’em all.

“This Nintendo Switch Lite Zacian and Zamazenta Edition features stylish cyan and magenta buttons and illustrations of the two new Legendary Pokémon, Zacian and Zamazenta, from the upcoming Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield games,” reads the newly revealed Lite edition’s description.

It’s compact, it’s even more portable, and comes with an unusual design choice that is very different than previous Pokemon-themed devices in the past. Instead of the vibrant colours that we’ve seen before, Nintendo opted into a sleet grey color scheme for the base with alternating colors on either side of the system to represent the Pokemon in question.

It was certainly an interesting design choice, one that will surely be a miss for some, but it’s just one more option in addition to the yellow, grey, and blue standard Lites available for pre-order before they go live on September 20th. All systems are currently set to retail at $199.99.
