The Monster Hunter: World Iceborne expansion is almost here and Capcom wants to make sure that Hunters are ready for what’s next! With a huge new map, tons of more content, and more adventures on the way, there’s a lot of reasons to be excited including the revelation of Barioth’s return.
For those that remember Barioth, Monster Hunter Generations saw him in his best carnation. The above video, via Game Informer, truly showcased the behemoth’s transformation through the years eventually leading up to Iceborne with this generation’s graphics on his side.
For more about the expansion, “The Iceborne expansion builds on every aspect of Monster Hunter: World, starting with an all-new story that picks up after the main game and whisks hunters away to a newly discovered chilly locale called Hoarfrost Reach. The snow-covered terrain offers an ecosystem that contrasts areas in the main game and progressively expands with the story. Iceborne is set to offer the largest region in the game so far, presenting hunters a wealth of new content with even more quests to face than in the original release.”
Players will be able to take this behemoth on for themselves when Monster Hunter: World Iceborne arrives on September 6 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with a PC release slated for sometime later. Don’t forget to also check out our game hub here to learn more about the upcoming expansion!
