New Rainbow Six Siege Showdown Event Lets You Ride ‘Til You Can’t No More

Not really, there's no riding actually involved but hey - cowboys and popular songs and such!

Rainbow Six Siege players can harness their inner cowboy in the new Rainbow Six Siege Showdown event that allows fans of the shooter to become the legend they were always meant to be.

The new event is available for the below 10 operators:

  • Maverick
  • Twitch
  • Glaz
  • Ash
  • Capitao
  • Maestro
  • Rook
  • Kaid
  • Alibi
  • Caveira

Showdown is perfect for becoming the ultimate gunslinger. The new 3v3 Secure Area map of Fort Truth was obviously centered around a cowboy’s fantasy having the teams of 3 face off in an effort to claim the Fort and all of the treasures it hides within. Oh, and only BOSG.12.2 and Magnum LFP586s are allowed. It is a shootout, afterall.

The studio added, “Decked out in shiny new attire from the Showdown Collection, you need to make every bullet count and trust your grit because that’s all you can rely on. You’ll know the meaning of tactical realism with a limited HUD where your health, ammo and crosshair are stripped.”

There are also quite a few customization items to earn as well. According to Ubisoft, “As you relive the tale, you can get your fill of western duds with the Showdown Collection’s customization items. There are 31 exclusive items for you to obtain, the very same your Event Operators will be wearing and more. There won’t be no duplicates in your pack, sheriff’s honor.”

The Showdown packs run 300 R6 credits for those interested!

The event is going on now and though the Rainbow Six Siege Showdown map is incredibly small comparatively, this new event is quite fun and high-stakes. Enjoy it now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
