343 Industries has been opening up over the past several months with tid-bits about what Halo fans can cexpect from the upcoming title, Infinite. According to a report from Xbox Dynasty, Halo: Infinite is poised for an impressive debut, boasting a budget over 500 million dollars. The bigger budget, though surprising, is understandable given that the team has mentioned that they’ve learned from “past mistakes” regarding previous entries since the franchise left Bungie’s hands, making them go all-in for Infinite to make it right.

Also according to the report is that the whopping $500 mil is only for developmental costs, making marketing and expanding expensives even more than the initial findings. One word of caution however, as much as this is an impressive feat, is that the site had no tangible proof other than “an inside source,” so take the newly revealed information with a grain of salt. We’ve reached out to both Microsoft and 343 Industries for comment.

One thing is for sure: if these reports are accurate, they are staggering. With how long Red Dead Redemption 2 in development and the extensive care that went into the latest title from Rockstar, Infinite’s budget still blows right past that. Hopefully the investment means fans will have an incredible experience to look forward to in the future.
