How to Get a Hazmat Suit in Fallout 76

Walking through the West Virginian wilderness in Fallout 76 is dangerous enough with all those mutated creatures roaming around. You wouldn’t think that stepping in a puddle of water could prove to be just as dangerous. The Fallout world is consumed in radiation, and through time, this could take its toll on your health. This is why we suggest you find a Hazmat Suit as soon as you reach level 10. This guide will explain where to go to find a Hazmat Suit in Fallout 76.

Where to Find Hazmat Suits

It’s also worth noting that different Hazmat Suits will have varying degrees of damage, which can impact the suit’s effectiveness. Ideally, you will want to find Hazmat Suits that are undamaged if possible. 

To find a Hazmat Suit in Fallout 76, head to The Poseidon Energy Plant WV-06 just south of the Flatlands, but don’t go inside. Look for the entrance and look for some ramps that lead you to the roof where you will find a small building. Go inside and you will find a series of boxes against the wall. Loot them to find a Hazmat Suit. 

You can also find Hazmat Suits at the Emmett Mountain Disposal Site, as well as east of this location at the West Tek Research Center. If you are a bit further south, stop by the Federal Disposal Field HZ-21 to find both damaged and undamaged Hazmat Suits in Fallout 76.

Keep in mind that the suit may not be there, as you share the world with other players and someone may have gotten there before you. Don’t worry though. You can just wait for it to respawn, though this make take some time depending on when the suit was taken. Hopefully you don’t die of radiation poisoning in the meantime. 

Once you have acquired the Hazmat Suit in Fallout 76, you may not be able to equip it right away. As noted earlier, you must be level 10 or higher to wear it, though you need not be level 10 to stash it in your inventory or at your stash box.
